For entry to any postgraduate music programme, you will need to
apply via UCAS Conservatoires at www.ucas.com/conservatoires.
The UCAS Conservatoires application system is
separate from both the UCAS
Undergraduate and UCAS
Postgraduate application systems. If you wish to
apply to conservatoires and universities within UCAS, you will need
to register for both services.
There is a one-off fee of £25 to register to use UCAS
Conservatoires and £25 to register for UCAS Postgraduate (for
entry 2020).

Application Dates
For entry in September 2020 applications open on
18 July 2019 and close at 18:00 (GMT) on
Monday 1 October 2019.
We will continue to accept applications after 1 October 2019
although these applications will be treated as late applications.
Please contact our Admissions Team before submitting a late
application to check whether we still have vacancies in your chosen
instrument/voice type.

Audition Fees
The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama charges an audition
administration fee of £63 (one instrument) and £84 (two
instruments). The audition fee for late applications, received
after 1 October 2019, is £68.
The College is committed to providing access to training for the
most talented students regardless of background or financial means.
The College’s fee
waiver policy is designed to support applicants for whom their
financial circumstances may be a barrier to auditioning.
Audition Dates
For applications received before or on 1 October 2019,
auditions will be held during October 2019 (weekdays only).
For applications received after the deadline of 1 October
2019, auditions are likely to be held in February/March 2020, but
only if places still exist.
Once we have received your application we will email you to let
you know the exact date and time of your audition. We will also
update your Track account on the UCAS Conservatoires
website with this information.
Scholarship
Please note that only applicants who apply by the deadline
of 1 October 2019 and audition in the autumn will be
considered for a scholarship. Applicants auditioning via recording
must submit their recorded audition by 1 November 2019 to be
considered for a scholarship.
