Register for an Audition
To register for an audition you need to complete the College's application form. This can be found on the UCAS Conservatoires website:
www.ucas.com/ucas/conservatoires

Be sure to chose UCAS Conservatoires and NOT UCAS Undergraduate or Postgraduate.

UCAS

Although UCAS Conservatoires offers many advantages, it was originally designed to handle applications for music programmes at UK conservatoires and is in the process of being adapted to meet the needs of drama applicants. We are working with UCAS Conservatoires and other drama schools to ensure this happens as quickly as possible but, in the meantime, you may find the following notes helpful:

  • The UCAS Conservatoires Institution Code for the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama is R59
  • The Course Codes are: BA Acting: 200F, MA Acting for Stage, Screen & Radio: 704F, MA Musical Theatre: 713F
  • When applying, you will be required to "select an instrument", please select drama performance
  • When asked for an Audition Location, please select NEW YORK
  • Within the application you will be asked for details of your 'practical referee'. For the acting and musical theatre programmes this should be an acting/ musical theatre reference written by your drama teacher/lecturer, Head of Department, or any other appropriate person who can comment on your performance abilities.

You can apply through UCAS Conservatoires from the 1st September 2018.

There is a one-off registration fee of £25 (approx. $32) to use the service. The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama also charges an audition administration fee of £53 (approx. $67).

Scheduling an Audition

We will start scheduling auditions from December 2018.
