Dave Bond studied Theatre and Dramatic Studies
at The University of Warwick. Dave’s first professional job was as
an assistant to Peter Cheeseman at The New Victoria Theatre, North
Staffordshire before forming his own touring company – Vox Theatre
– based in Manchester.
Dave then worked as an actor and director for
ten years, working at theatres such as The Bristol Old Vic, The
West Yorkshire Playhouse, Birmingham Repertory Theatre and The Gate
Theatre, London. In Wales he has directed for The Sherman and Torch
Theatres.
In 1994 Dave became a lecturer in acting at
RWCMD, becoming head of the programme two years later. Since then
he has directed over thirty productions, together with working as a
visiting director at The National Academy of Fine Arts in
Singapore, The National Drama School in India and most recently
Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
