Amanda Whiting

Amanda started playing the harp when she six years old after being inspired by Harpo Marx. She gained her degree as a classical harpist from Cardiff University with Caryl Thomas and Masters in Jazz from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in 2013.

After supporting Jamie Cullum and consequently meeting and recording with Dannii Minogue, her career in jazz and pop has resulted in her being in great demand for recordings and session work.

In 2015, she was invited to be a headline act and teacher at Edinburgh International Harp Festival with her trio The Whiting on the Wall as well as touring internationally with jazz trumpeter Matthew Halsall. Amanda is also co-author of a series of new jazz harp books on the syllabus of Trinity College, London.
