
Hannah is one of the leading period instrument oboists of her
generation and is in great demand with many leading orchestras: as
a member of The English Concert and Irish Baroque Orchestra, and
performing with many other orchestras across Europe including The
Sixteen, Gabrieli Consort, Early Opera Company, The King’s Consort,
Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra
and Les Talens Lyriques.
Hannah has appeared in many TV and radio broadcasts in the UK and
Europe, including the BBC series The Birth of British Music and the
BBC documentary Vivaldi’s Women, as well as live broadcasts for
MDR, Arte, Omroep Radio 4 and the BBC. Hannah and has appeared on
prestigious concert platforms worldwide, such as the Concertgebouw
in Amsterdam, Carnegie Hall in New York, Wigmore Hall in London and
the Musikverein in Vienna. Hannah has also participated in many
recordings, including the Grammy Award-nominated recording of J.S.
Bach’s Four Orchestral Suites for a Young Prince, directed by
Monica Huggett. As a soloist, Hannah has performed concertos with
Irish Baroque Orchestra and The English Concert, including a
private performance for the Sheika Sheika bint Saif Al Nahyan in
Abu Dhabi.
Hannah has set up an increasingly successful reed-making business,
creating bespoke period oboe reeds as well as quality modern oboe
reeds.
In addition to teaching Baroque oboe at the Royal Welsh College of
Music and Drama, Hannah has given masterclasses at the Royal
College of Music in London and the Israeli Conservatory of Music in
Tel Aviv.
