Elliot is
a graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama,
and is currently a tutor in drum kit and Latin American
percussion.
Elliott's orchestral experience includes
the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Welsh
National Opera, He has also played for stage production of Fame
and West Side Story, as well as Les Miserables in Mexico
City.
As a jazz musician, he has worked alongside musicians
including Jim Mullen, Bobby Shew, Hugh Warren and Paula
Gardiner and his current projects include Slowly Rolling
Camera, DER Collective and
DSQ (Dave Stapleton
Quintet), with whom he has performed at jazz festivals
around Europe, including Cork Jazz Festival supporting Chick
Corea.
Other projects have included a Cuban band in
Mexico, and tours with Sol Latino and Quattro,
who have supported Olatuji, Arrested Development and
Ozamatali.
Elliott has performed in
numerous 'drum clinics' supporting drummers such as Terri
Bozio, Steve Smith, Steve White, Ian Thomas and Jo Jo Mayer.
He is also a prolific session music having been
involved in recordings for numerous TV, film and
radio productions.
