Brett Robinson

Brett RobinsonBrett Robinson was educated at Cardiff Law School and Università degli Studi di Pavia where he read Law, Italian and German. He studies as a postgraduate at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and, more recently, gained a First Class Honours degree with the Open University in French and Spanish.

Before embarking on a career in music, he worked as freelance legal translator in Milan and subsequently as a researcher and assistant producer for the BBC. He was a translator for many programmes for Radio 3 and BBC Arts.

As a singer, he has performed with many of the UK companies and festivals including Opera North, Welsh National Opera, Grange Park Opera and Garsington Opera.

For some years he has been a language coach for many principal singers and has also taught Italian and German at the RWCMD Junior Department.
