LBQ – Brass Quartet

LBQ are a dynamic and versatile low brass ensemble made up of second year brass students from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama.

Since forming in September 2016, LBQ have been exploring repertoire and the sound world created by low brass. They have found arrangements, original works and have also adapted and arranged their own pieces. They can provide music for a wide range of occasions: from light, easy-listening popular tunes to serious recital programmes. LBQ are looking forward to further exploring new repertoire and growing together as an ensemble.

LBQ are:
Nicolas MacDonald – Tenor Trombone (studying under Roger Cutts)
Elizabeth Connell – Euphonium (studying under David Childs)
Ben Williams-Stacey – Bass Trombone (studying under Darren Smith)
Ben Pepler – Tuba (studying under Dan Trodden)
