“Everyone who supports Connect helps the College to thrive and advance and it really pleases me to hear from members how much personal enjoyment they, in turn, get from it.”

Dame Hilary Boulding, former Principal at RWCMD

If you would like to help ensure that the students of the Royal Welsh College continue to get the best possible training experiences and to be inspired by working with the very best professional artists, you can do so by becoming a member of Connect.

Connect is a donor scheme designed to enable you to get behind our students and deepen your involvement with everything that goes on here.

Connect donations provide support to two funds:

Friends Connect Fund

Students can apply directly to this fund for assistance with a range of projects related to their training eg. Money towards a new instrument, support towards touring a student production or travel costs to international competitions. Annual awards and bursaries are also made from this fund.

Friends Connect
£30 annual donation

Connect Fund

This is the College’s main fund that supports the students’ public performance opportunities and showcases in Cardiff, London and New York as well as their interactions with leading artists who visit and perform at the College. This regular engagement with those already working in the arts is invaluable in preparing students to enter the profession successfully once they graduate.

“Becoming members has allowed us a rare insight into the training process. We have enjoyed access to recitals, masterclasses and rehearsals, affording an opportunity to observe the development of some outstanding young artists. We are delighted to be able to contribute in this way and support talented students on the threshold of their careers.”
