Making Your Visit Easier
Getting here
Due to our busy city centre
location, audiences should leave plenty of time to travel to the
venue. If travelling by train visit the National Rail Enquiries
website. RWCMD is just a 20 minute walk from Cardiff Central
Station, 15 minutes from Cardiff Queen Street and 5 minutes from
Cathays Station.
If travelling by bus, the regional bus services (Cardiff Bus 21,
23, 25 and 27) regularly pass the front door of the College as do a
range of services on the Stagecoach and National Express network.
Visit the Cardiff Bus
website for further details.
If travelling by road, please do check ahead for
any travel
advice that might affect your journey into Cardiff city
centre.
Parking and drop off points
There is a drop-off point directly outside the front entrance to
the building, which provides level access to our main foyer, where
the Box Office and most theatre entrances are located.
There is also a limited number of disabled parking spaces, which
are available to blue badge holders only. This includes 3 to 4
spaces directly outside the main entrance, as well as 3
additional spaces at the Anthony Hopkins Centre, which is located
just a short 2 minute walk from the main entrance, along a level
route.
For general parking, there are large pay-and-display car
parks either side of the College and parking is available
throughout the Civic Centre, opposite the College's main entrance
on North Road.
Food and drink
We do not allow drinks or food in any of our venues, but at most
events interval drinks can be ordered beforehand to save time if
required.
Please bear in mind that our foyer and café is a large, open space and therefore can
sometimes be busy and noisy, especially at meal times or just
before shows start.
Dress code
There is no dress code at RWCMD shows, so please wear what you feel
comfortable in. You may find that at some events people enjoy
dressing up, but it is not a requirement. For performances aimed at
a family audience we welcome children to come along
in fancy dress, speak to the Box Office for further
information.
Cloakroom
We open our cloakroom for specific performances only, however we
can take coats, bags and luggage into the cloakroom upon request.
Just ask at the Welcome Desk and we'll be happy to assist.
We can also accommodate folded buggies in the cloakroom, ask an
RWCMD staff member to help. On certain family performances we
may offer a buggy park, signage will be available to guide you.
Latecomers
During some performances
latecomers may not be admitted, or, you may be asked to wait for a
suitable break in the performance before taking your seats (this
will be at the Duty Manager's discretion). Please speak to the Box
Office on 029 2039 1391 if you require any further
information.
Your views & making a complaint
We will continually monitor our service standards and listen to our
customers, making improvements where we can.
We welcome your views, good or bad. If you'd like to make a
comment please email welcome.desk@rwcmd.ac.uk.
