Debbie Chatting trained at the Royal Central School of Speech
and Drama, London, where she was awarded an MA in Voice Studies.
She is a Voice Tutor with the RWCMD’s Young Actors Studio. Debbie
has worked as a voice and accents coach with the Outreach team at
Bristol Old Vic, the Bristol Shakespeare Festival and a voice tutor
at the Arden Theatre School, Manchester. She was an accent coach
for the ArtsEd production of Tartuffe and for Central’s
restoration comedy productions. As well as coaching professional
actors for film and theatre in accents and dialects, Debbie also
runs voice workshops in the UK and abroad, teaching trainee lawyers
and business people, specialising in confidence building techniques
for public speaking and performance. She has been published by the
Oxford University Press in the 19th edition of the academic
textbook, ‘Advocacy’, (2014) edited by Robert McPeake, her chapter,
‘Your Voice and Speech’.
